We are currently developing our readership insight page based on the previous two editions statistics. This data will ensure advertisers have as much information on our print and online readerships as possible to make an informed decision on advertising.
We have a diverse reader demographic aged between the ages of 25 and 65+ years.
The majority, 70% were located in Alstonville, Ballina, Wardell and Wollongbar, along with smaller groupings in Byron, Casino, Evans Head, Goonellabah, Kyogle, Lennox Head, Lismore, Tintenbar and Wyrallah. Next, 25% resided in Brisbane, Canberra, Coffs Harbour, Forster, Gold Coast, Grafton, Hobart, Melbourne, Newcastle, Regional Victoria, Sydney and Yamba. Moreover, 5% of our readers were from overseas, in England, the Netherlands and the USA.
A survey was sent to the 30% of online subscribers located outside our local region, who consented to receive contact; 32 in total replied. From the feedback obtained, the main reasons for subscribing were:
a) family or friends live in the area,
b) they are considering moving to the region, or
c) are considering visiting the region when travelling restrictions ease.
